ADVERTISING ART
DEGREE OBJECTIVES

1. Apply the principles and elements of design for both online and offline deliverables.

This project did have any deliverables, it was personal project. It is a personal poster of myself and a poster of my former high school, EVIT. I created this poster to pay homage to EVIT and practice uning the oil paint feature on Photoshop.

I framed the poster to draw a correlation with myself and EVIT. I three used three colors to separate the midtones, highlights and shadows. I also used the colors to separate the different elements: such as the background from the foreground, my hair from my skin, and my t-shirt from my hoodie. Finally, I filled the background with foliage and the pyramid structure that is found on the campus' entrance.

Objective: For this assignment, you are to create an original character illustration that expresses the Rectangular Scheme theories described in this week’s unit.

In this project I was restricted to a rectangular color scheme, and their tints and tone. The idea of the concept came from my sibling messing with a kiwi bird plush that they dressed up. I took the concept and made a poster of it. I used the kiwi as part of the name in the poster and colored the text in kiwi fruit.

I prioritized emphasizing the kiwi so I made it the only part of the foreground with solid colors and giving it a highlight behind it. I also wanted to connect the text, "Mr. Steal your Tea" with the kiwi so I it to represent part of the text.

Objective: You are to create an original illustration that expresses the Triadic Color Scheme theories described in this week’s unit. I want you to first create a canvas (11X14in) then look away or close your eyes and scribble something onto it. After you have observed your scribble, you will start to problem-solve creatively and construct something out of it.

I this project I was restricted to a triadic color scheme. I first closed my eyes make a random scribble. The scribble reminded me of a person running down a hill. After I was done with the person I decided to add a ray of sunlight in the background.

Objective: "The Zen concept that a bowl's essence is the part that is "missing" corresponds to the graphic concept of negative space. Apply this idea by using only negative shapes to interpret a set and make four drawings of each of the three subjects within the set visually.

I this project I was restricted to making black and white images and had to use negative space for my images. For my three subjects I chose some of my favorite video game franchises: Halo, Gears of War, and Call of Duty.

2. Leverage the understanding of human behavior and conditioning to influence choice and decision-making using innovative methods and systems.

Objective: sing Typography as your main design element re-design an existing package.
This can be any product you feel could use an update!

In this project I made a redesign for a Great Value chocolate fudge box.  I went with a Halloween theme because the project was made during October. I used a mixture of graphic and photo images on the box, with a night theme.

Objective: Create and deliver a succinct response (60 seconds) to one of the by major RFP scenarios listed below:

In this Project I was told to create A Request For Proposal (RFP) for The State Symphony. I was also told to create "a unique look and logo are required. "I was also told to do a 60s in-person presentation with the logo I created".

In this landing page I wanted to draw comparison of the orchestra with going to the beach, a common summer activity. During my RFP speech is referenced my prior experience with being in a orchestra in order to emphasis my qualifications for the job.

Assignment 4a_ Create a Social Media Ad.jpg

Objective: Create a "fictitious" advertisement that you would display on a complimentary website or app to encourage viewers to engage with you online. You have the following choices as outlined by Adskills.

In this project I made a Poster of a social media ad. I designed the poster to make my ad resemble a WWI propaganda poster. I also used the two color that are prominent in my branding, blue and orange. â€‹â€‹

I three used three colors to separate the midtones, highlights and shadows. I also used the colors to separate the different elements: such as the background from the foreground, my hair from my skin, and my t-shirt from my hoodie.

3. Follow branding guidelines on all visual communication to maintain a consistent and cohesive message through design and execution.

Objective: Students will combine many of the techniques learned so far to create a typographic interpretation of a dialogue scene from a film or television program. Check out this YouTube playlist for some examples:

For this project I made a style guide for a energy drink. I made a fruit based energy drink called La Cabra. La Cabra is based on the la Chupacabra which is a cryptid, a legendary creature of folklore that attacks livestock. Thought out the project I used a Hispanic theme for the style guide.

I decided to go with a mixture saturated primary colors as well as using light browns for the color theme. As for the different elements, I added on to the Hispanic theme by adding references such as adding goats, which ties back to la Chupacabra and the guitar, which a popular instrument in Latin music.

Objective:  You will begin developing a professional style guide that supports the product's brand identity.  You'll include the product's logo, slogan, menu, website, typography/font, colors, and ads:

For this project I made a food truck of a fictional drink called Crea-Tea. Crea-Tea is a ready-to-drink tea with creatine in it. For the advertisements I focused gym aspect and when with a cooler green and orange.

Objective:  During their last semesters at UAT, students work intensely during and outside of their SIP(Student Innovation Project)-designated class to develop, design, and craft their ideas into a technology product or service that makes a claim to Innovation. A student’s SIP does not have to necessarily be a new invention or completely market ready. The main task at hand is to create something innovative utilizing advancing technology—capable of being better than anything of its kind available in the market today:

Technically Is an image recognition application that will use AI to scan advertisements and display missing information. This innovative software will allow users a new way to interact with the product we buy and how we are marketed too.

4. Create 2D, 3D and multi-media assets that incorporate compelling storytelling for the promotion of people, products and organizations.

For this Final Project, students will combine many of the techniques learned so far to create a typographic interpretation of a dialogue scene from a film or television program:

In this project I was told to make a frame by frame video of my choice. this is a commercial style video that promote a fruit based energy drink called La Cabra Energy Drink. The video displays the energy drink flavors. I wanted to show the enjoyment that the user will have when they drink this product, in a comedic and exaggerated way.

In the video I use 2D art in the background as a form of set dressing for the 3D assets. The focus is on the energy drink while it goes through the video

This project was a portion of  a bigger project Genkids. This an animation of Genkids' logo that was later implemented in a mockup for the Genkids app.

Objective: Students will edit and finalize their SIP video draft in order to present their SIP. Videos must contain an audio voice-over that introduces the student by name, team members, their major, SIP title, innovation claim, and a demonstration of their prototype.

Arguably the most ambitious  project I have ever done. I made an animated video to present Technically in the UAT Fall 2024 SIP Showcase. This project also consists of a brand identity and website.

6. Learn best practices and utilize tools that model creative agency environments and production studios.
